A practice that shows up for families

Art workshops, sensory-friendly sessions for children with special needs, barn days at Dreamland Farms, teen programs, story times and flu clinics: Dare2Care Pediatrics hosts and sponsors events through the year for patients, families and the wider Alpharetta community.

Programs

What we run through the year

  • Art workshops

Guided painting and mixed-media sessions for children and teens, in the office and in the community, led by local artists. Creativity as part of whole health.

  • Sensory-friendly workshops

Sessions designed for children with autism and sensory differences: smaller groups, predictable structure, quiet options, and families welcome to stay.

  • Barn days at Dreamland Farms

In partnership with Dreamland Farms, we host barn days for Dare2Care Pediatrics children once or twice a year: animals, hay, open air and a morning away from screens. Watch the last one on our Instagram.

  • Teen programs

Art and wellness workshops for ages 11 to 16, and sound-therapy sessions for ages 14 and older, built around what teens tell us they need.

  • Reach Out and Read

A new book at every well visit from 6 months to 5 years, story times, and guidance on reading aloud, as a Reach Out and Read partner practice.

  • Flu clinics and back-to-school days

Seasonal clinics that make the practical things easy: flu shots for the whole family and physical forms before school starts.

Why we do this

Health is more than visits

Children grow up in families and neighborhoods, not in exam rooms. A workshop where a child with autism paints alongside other kids, a teen finding a calmer hour in a sound-therapy session, a toddler leaving a visit with a book, a morning with the animals at Dreamland Farms: these are part of care as we understand it.

We also sponsor and join events with schools, libraries, parent groups and local organizations across North Fulton, Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. Ask us about partnering.

Events are free or low-cost and open to established patients and, for many of them, to the wider community. Dates are announced here, on Instagram and on Facebook. Photos from events are shared only with families’ permission, and we never show a child’s face without consent.
