Plans we participate with
Georgia Medicaid and commercial plans
Participating means we are in-network with the plan. It is not a promise that a particular visit is covered: employer plans, marketplace products and delegated networks can differ, and each provider must be credentialed under the plan.
We are accepting new patients with Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids. Plan list last confirmed by the practice on September 18, 2026.

Please verify before your visit. Dare2Care Pediatrics participates with many Medicaid and commercial insurance plans. Insurance networks and individual benefits can change. Before scheduling, please confirm with your insurance company that Dare2Care Pediatrics and your selected provider are in-network under your specific plan. Coverage does not guarantee payment, and deductibles, copayments and coinsurance may apply.
Before you schedule
Check your coverage in three steps
Step 1: Find the plan name on the card
For Medicaid, look for the managed-care plan (CareSource, Humana Healthy Horizons, Molina or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan), not just the word Medicaid. PeachCare for Kids members also carry one of these plans.
Step 2: Confirm we are in network
Call the member services number on the card, or check the plan’s app or Georgia Gateway. Ask whether Dare2Care Pediatrics and the provider you want to see are in-network, and whether your plan requires choosing a primary care provider.
Step 3: Call or text (770) 615-7000
Tell us the plan name and member ID. We verify eligibility before the first visit, and we will tell you about any copayment or referral requirement up front.
Referrals and PCP selection
How referrals work
Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members choose a primary care provider (PCP) with their plan. Select Dare2Care Pediatrics as your child’s PCP, and referrals to specialists, therapy and testing come from us, with the plan’s authorization handled by our office.
Some commercial HMO and POS products also require a PCP selection and referrals; PPO products usually do not. Behavioral health is sometimes managed by a separate network even on the same card, so ask us before a first behavioral-health visit.
Children on the Katie Beckett (TEFRA) pathway, NOW or COMP waivers, or Georgia Families 360° are welcome. We complete the medical paperwork these programs need and coordinate with case managers, therapists and schools.
Routine vaccines are covered at no cost by Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids and commercial plans under the Affordable Care Act. Uninsured and underinsured children may qualify for the Vaccines for Children program; ask us.

Questions families ask
Insurance and Medicaid questions
Do you accept Georgia Medicaid?
Yes. We participate with Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids through the Georgia Families plans listed above: CareSource, Humana Healthy Horizons, Molina and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Fee-for-service Medicaid, including children on the Katie Beckett pathway, is accepted as well.
Are you accepting new Medicaid patients?
Yes. Newborns, transfers and children who have never had a pediatrician are welcome. Choose Dare2Care Pediatrics as the primary care provider with your plan, then call or text to schedule.
My child was on Amerigroup or Peach State Health Plan. What happens now?
Those two plans left Georgia Families on June 30, 2026. Members were moved to CareSource, Humana Healthy Horizons, Molina or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Look for the new plan name on your child’s card, make sure Dare2Care Pediatrics is listed as the primary care provider, and nothing else changes for you.
Do all Dare2Care providers accept the same plans?
Each provider is credentialed separately with each plan. The Providers column in the tables above shows any plan where that is not yet the case. When you book, tell us the plan and we will schedule you with a credentialed provider.
Do I need a referral to see you?
No referral is needed to see a pediatrician for primary care. Medicaid plans and some commercial HMO products require that we are listed as your child’s primary care provider, which you set with the plan in a few minutes by phone or in its app.
Which plans do you not accept?
We do not currently participate with Kaiser Permanente, WellStar health plans, Oscar Health or the Anthem Blue Value Select network. Other Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield products are accepted. Families with these plans can be seen as self-pay or out-of-network; call or text us to talk it through.
What if my plan is not listed?
We participate with most commercial plans, so call or text us with the plan name and we will confirm. If we are out of network, we can still see your child as a self-pay visit or help you find a pediatrician in your network; ask the front desk for current prices.
Are well visits and vaccines covered?
Yes. Under the Affordable Care Act, well visits and routine vaccines are covered as preventive care at no cost by Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids and commercial plans. Sick visits, tests and some forms may carry a copayment depending on the plan.
What does “participating” mean?
That we have a contract with the plan and bill it directly. It does not guarantee payment for a specific service: deductibles, copayments and coinsurance depend on your benefits, and some employer or marketplace products use narrower networks. When in doubt, call the number on your card and ask about Dare2Care Pediatrics by name.
Ready to schedule?
Complete the new patient forms online, then call or text (770) 615-7000 with your plan name and member ID. We verify eligibility before the first visit.
