We are having our baby nearby. What do we tell the hospital?
The nearest hospital with labor and delivery is Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming. Wherever you deliver, the hospital’s newborn team examines your baby before you go home. Give the hospital our name, address and phone as your baby’s pediatrician, then call or text (770) 615-7000 on the day you leave. We see your baby 2 to 3 days later. On Medicaid? Can a sick child be seen the same day instead of going to urgent care?
Yes, on weekdays. Call or text in the morning and your child is seen that day, in the office or by video, by the care team that has their chart. When we are closed, the same number reaches our after-hours line; where to go when we are closed lists the nearest Children’s urgent cares.
Do you take Forsyth County Medicaid plans?
Georgia Medicaid plans are statewide. We participate with Amerigroup Community Care, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan, PeachCare for Kids and straight Georgia Medicaid, and we are accepting new Medicaid patients. How long is the drive when my child is sick?

Can you complete Forsyth County school forms?
Yes. Georgia Forms 3231 and 3300, sports physicals on the GHSA form, and daycare and camp forms are completed at the well visit, and we send the immunization certificate through GRITS.
