Vaccinations and Immunizations
Dare2Care Pediatrics follows the American Academy of Pediatrics immunization schedule, protecting children against 18 diseases from birth through 21, with catch-up plans for missed doses, seasonal flu, COVID-19 and RSV protection, and honest answers to every vaccine question.
About vaccinations and immunizations
Vaccines are the most effective preventive medicine we have. We give them on the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, in the comfort of a well visit, and we take the time to answer questions.

When to come in
- A well visit is due
- Your child missed a dose or you are unsure what they have had
- Flu season is starting (September through October is ideal)
- School has requested an updated Form 3231
What to expect at the visit
We review the record, explain what is due and why, and give the vaccines at the end of the visit. Comfort techniques, numbing and distraction are standard; ask us about them.
Insurance and cost
Routine vaccines are covered at no cost by most insurance plans. Children who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for the Vaccines for Children program; ask us.
Need help outside office hours?
When the office is closed, call the main number, (770) 615-7000. After hours the call goes to our after-hours line for urgent concerns. Use the patient portal for anything that can wait until the next business day. In an emergency, call 911.
Questions parents ask
Can vaccines be spread out?
We recommend the standard schedule because it protects children when they are most vulnerable. If you have concerns, talk with us; we would rather find a plan together than have a child unprotected.
What if my child is behind?
There is a catch-up schedule for every vaccine. Bring any records you have and we will build a plan at the next visit.
