About Dr. Adam J. Ayer

Dr. Ayer graduated summa cum laude from Western Carolina University with his Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2020. He has been a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta since 2010, where he collaborated with physicians on pre- and post-operative care, served as first assist in the operating room and trained advanced practice providers in general surgery. Before that he was a certified pediatric neurology nurse.

A former middle-school science teacher, he brings a teacher’s patience to every visit and a knack for explaining what is happening in a child’s body in words kids understand.

Honors include the Golden Key Honour Society, the Blue Key Honor Society and the DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses.

An Ohio native and lifelong Cleveland sports fan, he loves soccer, golf, live music and travel. He and his wife, a licensed professional counselor, share their home with a cat named Millie and a dog named Harper.
